About me

I am a freelance artist and illustrator originally from South Africa, where I was born and raised. For the past two decades, I have called England home, living first in the London but now live in the North East of England, where I live with my partner and son.

Creativity has always been at the heart of who I am. Although I have no formal art education, I am proudly self-taught, driven by a lifelong passion for making art and exploring the world through a creative lens. Art is not simply what I do—it is how I connect, observe, and understand life.

Over the years, I have exhibited my work in a range of settings, from major group exhibitions to smaller, more intimate shows. My practice centres around painting and illustration, often working with watercolour, ink, expressive line work, and vibrant splashes of colour. I am drawn to the balance between spontaneity and detail, allowing each piece to develop its own character and story.

People, community, and connection are recurring themes throughout my work. I find endless inspiration in everyday interactions, quiet observations, and the beauty of nature. Whether capturing fleeting moments, exploring human relationships, or celebrating the natural world, my aim is to create work that resonates emotionally and invites viewers to pause, reflect, and connect.

Through my art, I hope to share a sense of curiosity, belonging, and appreciation for the small moments that shape our lives.
